Yasisurie came to the fashion scene in Sri Lanka by winning the Gen-Next award at Colombo Fashion Week 2014!Since then she has steadily built a name for herself in the industry and reinventing her self named brand. She was also interviewed for her designs on the Lilou Mace show in 2014. ==Background== After studying for a Btec. HND in Fashionn Design Yasisurie worked in several top garment exporters in Sri Lanka such as Brandix, MAS and Timex group and worked with some international brands such as Next, UK, Calvin Klein, Gerry Weber, Germany, Juicy Couture, Ann Taylor, NY and Reebok. Her last post in the corporate world was that of a Merchandising Manager. Since then she was free-lancing in design until she started the brand "Oneera" and showcased at Colombo Fashion Week in 2014. She won the Gen- Next award for the mot promising new designer to look out for.... Since then with many top associations Yasisurie has moved to the top end of the designer circle locally. She renamed the brand "Yasisurie" and in 2014 October she liaised with Colombo Jewellery Stores for a resort collection to be showcased on the 4th of October at Colombo Fashion Week RESORT show!
